These screenshots were generated by NEStopia; if you see any oddities at the top and/or bottom, that's because NEStopia's screenshots ignore overscan clip settings, thus showing the top and bottom 8 pixels that are normally hidden on an NTSC television (and in most emulators). Here's something that could be useful: a purely monochromatic palette. Are you needing to test the contrast of your graphics? Look no further! This palette uses roughly eight different values across its indices, mimicking how ideal NES video input looks when displayed in grayscale. This means that there is no variance in brightness between any of the colors. But, it should work well enough for testing general brightness usage, allowing you to adjust contrasts when needed. :) I recommend using this palette in conjunction with my "Definitive" NTSC-U palette, as this is literally just the Lightness channel of my "Definitive NTSC" palette. :) |
